Caliche is the job. Turf is a commodity. What separates an installation that is still flat in year twelve from one that puddles after three monsoons is what happened at excavation. We probe for hardpan before quoting so the price reflects your actual yard rather than an optimistic average.
Specify for this sun. UV stabilisation and cooling technology are not upsells in the Sonoran Desert. Product that survives fine in a mild climate fades and turns brittle here, and it fails years after the cheque cleared.
Wall-to-wall green is the wrong answer. A turf panel within a granite and desert-plant composition looks better, costs less, and is what most HOA design committees here want to see.
